Studio Rules & Conduct
1. Escorts are always welcome and encouraged.
2. I do not touch clients (or their belongings) unless they are falling, have received explicit permission to assist with hair, outfit, prop, or pose adjustment, or have received permission to help carry items to and from their vehicle.
3. Clients have the right to veto any suggested pose or concept.
4. Clients may review images and delete those that unintentionally show content outside of the agreed-upon shoot limits.
5. Open and honest communication is key to a successful session. I encourage suggestions, ideas, and feedback.
6. No smoking/vaping inside the studio or within 20 feet of the studio entrance.
7. No alcohol or drug use outside of prescriptions will be tolerated.
General Questions
Are the photographs on your website of clients or models?
All images that are shared on any of our websites or social media platforms are of paid/compensated models. This is done specifically to protect our clients. While we appreciate clients allowing us to use photographs from their session to ensure their privacy is protected, all images shared on any of our websites or social media platforms feature paid or compensated models. While we appreciate clients allowing us to use photographs from their session to ensure their privacy is not violated and that copies of their images are not made, edited, posted as others' work, posted to questionable websites, or otherwise used without their consent, we have adopted the policy of not putting client images at risk.
Do I have to pose in lingerie, topless, or nude for a Boudoir or Fine Art session?
Absolutely not! Our photographers will never require a client to pose in any way. Clothing choices and how much the client wants to wear are always up to the client and local regulations based on the shoot location. During the consultation, clients will be asked about the purpose of the session, who the session photographs are for, the overall theme they envision, and whether they want lingerie, topless, implied nude, or nude images as part of the shoot, based on the purpose and/or theme. Please note that anyone photographed as implied nude, topless, or nude must be of legal age, be able to provide proof of age when requested, and have a photograph with their ID and a signed contract for our records.
What is implied nude?
Implied nude refers to the specific act of taking photographs that give the impression that the subject is topless or nude, regardless of whether they actually are. Photographs are crafted, shot, or edited to avoid showing nipples, the entire areola, the entire buttocks, or genitals.
Photographs of bare backs that do not include any portion of the subject's breasts or at least half of their buttocks are not considered implied nude. Additionally, images in which the subject becomes exposed, in part or in full, while posing are not considered implied nude either.
I'm not comfortable with how I look. Can I be put on a waiting list until I'm ready?
Society may view certain elements of the human form as imperfections, undesirable, or flaws—we don’t. We see our clients’ bodies. Stretch marks, scars, freckles, height, weight, and body type define the individual, and it’s their story that we want to preserve. While it is regrettable that many women feel they have to accept an unrealistic standard of beauty today, whether through medical procedures or unhealthy lifestyles to achieve it, we also know that each client’s needs are unique. We use makeup and can take bookings up to six months in advance of the agreed-upon shoot date. Regrettably, we have not been able to reserve session time for the past six months. However, we will be happy to add you to our email list and send reminders if you like.
Pricing & Products
How much are sessions?
The investment will depend on the client’s preferences. Our base investment, called the sitting fee, covers the photographer’s time for the session. Makeup, hairstyles, and outfits are the client’s responsibility unless we have been asked to provide those services for an additional fee. Please note that, per Ohio law, makeup and hairstyling may be performed only by a board-certified, licensed cosmetician. Additional fees will apply for travel, location rental, equipment rental, prop rental, etc. Photographs, digital images, or other products are offered separately and are not included in the session rate.

How much do you charge for prints and products?
The investment for prints and products depends on multiple criteria, including size, print type, editing, number of prints, shipping, and package discounts. Each client has unique needs, so the investment will vary.
Preparation & Policies
How should I prepare for my sessions?
While preparation depends on the type of session, a general rule of thumb is to get plenty of sleep the night before, limit alcohol, have your hair done before the session, choose nude or French manicured nails, and wear loose-fitting clothing if nudity will be involved. How much retouching is done?
Captured Light Studios, LLC. shall provide limited editing for all digital and print images offered to clients and models. Editing shall be limited to white balance and exposure correction, dust spot removal, blemish removal, simple stray hair removal, and removal of strings from outfits. What about image usage and copyright?
Any photographs or digital images purchased are provided as licensed images only and cannot be altered in any manner. Copyright remains the property of Eric Arnold or Captured Light Studios, LLC. unless purchased separately. Click here to read our Image Use and Copyright Policies.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
